Calling all aspiring weavers! This program introduces kids to the timeless craft of textiles. Sarah Boink, expert weaver of Sizz Handmade will join us for a hands-on day with live weaving, and exploration of wool, linen, and hemp. Participants will discover how weaving technology evolved from hand-powered tools and how creativity has always been essential to survival. We’ll explore all these materials and the historic tools used to process them. We’ll also weave our own bookmarks to take home. 🎟️ Admission is free for Family+ members of SCHS, otherwise $10 per family. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents/caregivers must remain with their child for the duration of the program. This is not a drop-off event.

Learn the art of tapestry weaving with Sizz Handmade! In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will create their own woven piece using either the Brouwer House Flower Kit or a design from the Weave Along the Chakras Collection while exploring color, texture, and creative self-expression. ​The workshop space is located on the first floor in the back of the house; please enter through the back door. The workshop itself is free to attend, with weaving kits available for purchase.
